JDResources Launches Technology Outsource Subsidiary Company:
Intense Technology, Inc.
on December 5, 2003
JDResources, Inc.
is thrilled to announce the new executive lineup for
Intense
Technology, Inc. Already skilled IT professionals
themselves, the management is ready to provide outstanding service with Don
Carmon in the role of Applications Director, Bill Hillhouse in Project
Management and LeAnn Willard as Account Manager. Intense Technology, a subsidiary of JDResources (Memphis Business Journal’s
Small Business of the Year in 2001), specializes in Information Technology outsourced managed projects,
professional services and product development for E-Business, Client/Server and Web based
solutions. The outsourcing option that Intense Technology offers their
clients is a strategic move that enables companies to concentrate on running
their business, not on running IT related functions. Successful
companies realize that trying to excel at everything dilutes precious
resources and distracts management's attention from strategic issues. They
are gaining a competitive edge by concentrating on core competencies that
provide high value and contribute to their bottom line. And they are putting
information technology (IT) functions in their proper role as strategic
enablers rather than core competencies.
Market
research clearly demonstrates the upward trend in technology outsourcing. Having
software written by someone outside the company -- outsourcing -- has
increased by 175 percent in the last 18 months in large companies, according
to Evans Data Corp., a Santa Cruz-based IT Research Company. "More than 70
percent of companies are outsourcing some software development, after
reaching a low of 40 percent in Evans Data's May 2001 survey. Fortune 500
companies are leading the return to outsourcing, with about 80 percent of
companies with more 10,000 employees outsourcing some of their development
as compared to about 66 percent of companies who employ between 1,000 and
10,000 people, according to the survey. After
showing steady growth from the sharp drop-off in May 2001, the latest
numbers indicate a large number of new projects being started. However, most
of the companies surveyed are turning to outsourcing as an alternative to
hiring of full-time IT employees whereas, in the past, most companies turned
to outsourcing for additional expertise," says Joe McKendrick, an analyst
with Evans Data. Intense
Technology, Inc is located at International Place Tower Two, 6410 Poplar Avenue Suite #151,
Memphis, TN. 38119. Phone 901.761.2345.
